There is a line in a Rich Mullin's song that says; “there’s fury in a pheasants wing” If you think about a pheasant, it accelerates at an outrageous rate of speed when it takes to flight, an illustration of Gods amazing creation.

When you see a feather by itself it too is a testimony to God’s design capabilities but we quickly find that a feather by itself is relatively ineffective unless being used for decoration, or tickling a foot. We would be hard pressed to associate fury with a single feather.

However when feathers are strategically placed together they then become a wing. As we see in the pheasant these individual feathers joined together pound the air and set the pheasant to flight.

Pheasant’s Wing is a ministry that acknowledges, as it’s head Christ and that the body of Christ is made up of many parts. Each part, although many, form one body. Jesus sacrificed once for all.  This ultimate price was paid for each of us. We come together in unity to advance His kingdom here on earth. We are able to accomplish this only through the empowering presence of His Holy Spirit which is availabe to all who choose to believe and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior.
